Rochester Omnium
Full Moon Vista Bike & Sport is the riding force behind the Rochester Omnium! Wait, what? Didn't it used to be called the Saturn Rochester Twilight Criterium? Yes, you're right - it did - but for 2008, the Criterium has grown into a 3-day event called the Rochester Omnium. And we guarantee, you've never seen a bicycle race like this before.
This year, Olympians, World Champions, and elite professional cyclists will compete in a Time Trial, a Road Race and the ever-popular Criterium. This 3-day event promises to be even more exciting as these talented athletes are showcased in three different racing disciplines.
The Time Trial, on August 8th will start in Irondequoit and end at the Port of Rochester. For the fifth straight year, on Saturday August 9th, the Rochester Twilight Criterium will be on the streets of Rochester's downtown - at night - the fastest two hours you'll see anywhere. And on Sunday August 10th, the Rochester Road Race promises a challenging 110 mile course starting in picturesque Honeoye, New York and ending in a seriously fast circuit through the south side of Rochester.
The 2008 event is also on the prestigious Union Cycliste International (UCI) America Tour! So get ready to see even more elite athletes compete all over Rochester.
Admission is still free so bring the entire family to join in the festive atmosphere and prepare yourself for the electrifying competition!
